2025-08-29 - New Regional Network Endpoints & Requirements
Effective Date: April 1, 2026
signageOS is expanding its regional cloud support with new US and EU regional endpoints, available in addition to the existing global services. To ensure uninterrupted service, review and update your network and firewall allowlist.
What is changing
As signageOS continues to grow, we are expanding our regional cloud infrastructure to deliver better performance, reliability, and flexibility for customers worldwide. New US and EU regional endpoints are now available alongside the existing global services.
This change ensures your devices can connect to the closest and most efficient region — improving connectivity and preparing for the future scale of your deployment.
Action required
To ensure uninterrupted service, update your network and firewall settings to allowlist the following endpoints in addition to the mandatory global endpoints already in use.
Platform service (device connectivity)
| Scope | Endpoints |
|---|---|
| Global (mandatory, keep enabled) | platform.signageos.iogateway.root.signageos.io |
| US regions | gateway.us1.signageos.iogateway.us2.signageos.iogateway.us3.signageos.io |
| EU regions | gateway.eu1.signageos.iogateway.eu2.signageos.iogateway.eu3.signageos.io |
Upload service (screenshots & logs)
| Scope | Endpoints |
|---|---|
| Global (mandatory, keep enabled) | upload.signageos.ioupload.root.signageos.io |
| US regions | upload.us1.signageos.ioupload.us2.signageos.ioupload.us3.signageos.io |
| EU regions | upload.eu1.signageos.ioupload.eu2.signageos.ioupload.eu3.signageos.io |
Test your connection
Before the company-wide migration, you can manually switch a selected device to the new device gateway endpoint and verify that it connects correctly within your network and firewall setup. See Testing the connection to the new network endpoint for the step-by-step procedure.
Timeline & transition
- No immediate disruption — all existing global endpoints remain fully functional throughout the rollout.
- Smooth transition — global endpoints must stay enabled during the rollout period to guarantee seamless connectivity.
- Gradual rollout of the regional endpoints is underway.
- Final switch to the fully regionalized cloud takes effect on April 1, 2026.
A detailed migration schedule will be communicated well in advance.
