LG webOS 8/9/22 Naming

LG released new displays - namely UP5Q and UH5Q - with webOS v8. Unfortunately, these devices shows in their own menu webOS 9 or webOS 22.

Currently, there is no disclosed plan for official webOS 9 lineups, LG mistakenly refers some models of webOS 8 as 9 in their API. The next gen displays are webOS 8. But the pre-production samples shows in menu “webOS 22" and in the code they report “webOS 9”

Any device claiming to be webOS 9 is actually webOS 8 and is supported by signageOS. See all supported devices in our dedicated page.
